Zone of Infinity is a decentralized community archive featuring stories in the form of oral histories, videos, images, and art work from the neighborhood known as Zone 8 (Northwest Goldberg) and nearby surrounding areas. A primary focus of this archive is the Hush House Black Community Museum and its co-founder Baba Charles Simmons.
Kamila shakur
Kamila Shakur is a writer, spiritual practitioner, researcher, and head archivist for the Hush House Black Community Museum & Institute for Human Rights where she also serves on the board. She facilitates lineage healing by supporting her community in ancestral relationship building, a skill that uniquely informs her current memory work as an archivist. She utilizes Familial Energy Work, Creative Spirit Work, and Black Queer Femme Mysticism, three frameworks that she created, to focus her research and deepen the various facets of her work.
