Sankofa Community Research Project
A Three-Year Black-led community research launched in 2023 to study the multi-generational impacts of the destruction of Black Bottom and Paradise Valley on Black Detroiters today and to summarize their visions for repair as part of the I-375 “Reconnecting Communities” development project.
Preserving Black Legacy Fellowship
An inaugural program to develop an intergenerational cohort of Black Detroiters who will collect oral histories and create a digital exhibit that shares the story of their neighborhood.
