From the North End, with love

collection here

A collection of audio recordings, photographs and ephemera that tells the story of The North End neighborhood and its long & short term Black residents during the latter half of the great migration.

M.J. Ross

I am a 3rd Generation North End resident, Black Detroiter and African diaspora member. I consider myself a community member at large. Sometimes that looks like being a helping hand, delivering a well timed joke, cleaning up a space, or modeling a skill or behavior.

I see community learning & adult education as a practice of collective responsibility and stewardship, and art as the vehicle that carries it all.
