AFRO JAM is a community-based jam-making and tasting event that promotes the launch of a new, delicious, grown-in-Detroit product. This late harvest happening invites neighbors and friends to support the initiative, learn about jam, and try sweet, freshly-made, and organic fruit in tarts, on toast and by the spoonful. Live music performances will accompany the gathering.

The collaborative project brings together the North End Community Gardens and ONE Mile with music curated by the Detroit Afrikan Music Institution (DAMI).
