Detroit Narrative Agency: Grant Info Session

  • Charles H. Wright Museum 315 East Warren Avenue Detroit, MI, 48202 United States (map)

The Detroit Narrative Agency is an initiative that aims to change the stories that form the future of this city.

We are a group of Detroiters who understand that the DNA of this city is made up of many stories, and who seek to shift the stories that are currently being told in and of Detroit towards justice.

Join us on May 10th for a public info session about the launch of our grant application!

Through an open application process, seed grants of $5,000 - $10,000 will be available to artists and community members who aim to shift the narratives of Detroit through moving image projects (film, video installation, emerging multimedia forms, curatorial projects, film screenings, etc.).

At the info session we will present our takeaways from three months of surveying community members and share how this feedback has informed our application process for seed grants. We will also provide details about the grant application process and allow time for a Q & A.

We welcome people of all disciplines and backgrounds - whether you’re an artist, community organizer, media-maker, community member, lifelong or longtime Detroiter, join us to help shape the narratives we tell about Detroit!
