Dr. Talitha L. LeFlouria is an associate professor of history a Florida Atlantic University and a postdoctoral fellow at the Carter G. Woodson Institute for African-American and African Studies at the University of Virginia.

On December 12, Dr. LaFlouria will speak on the topic of Black Female Mass Incarceration and host a book signing for her award winning book, Chained in Silence: Black Women and Convict Labor in the New South (UNC Press, 2015).
