Free Water Justice Workshop

Free Water Justice Workshop:

"Let Justice Roll Down Like Water"

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for the many blessings of life. In this spirit of thanksgiving, the People’s Water Board Coalition’s Faith Outreach Committee invites people from all congregations in the Metro-Detroit area to reflect on the plight of their neighbors without water and to learn new ways to worship, teach and work for water justice.

Clergy, lay leaders and activists are invited to a “Let Justice Roll Like Water…” gathering being held Saturday, November 28th from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historic King Solomon Baptist Church located at 6100 14th Street in Detroit.

Workshop attendees will share new ways to address the water shutoff crisis in Detroit and hear a plenary on “The Message of Water.” Breakout sessions will provide ideas and resources for worship, educational outreach, and action on behalf of communities without water.

A continental breakfast and light lunch will be served. The workshop is free. Deadline for registration is November 21, 2015. To register or for more information, call Kim Redigan at 313-520-7465 and/or check out the Facebook page here.
